One Shot Automation LLC is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Project Engineer – Automation to join our growing team in Charlotte, NC. Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage automation engineering projects from concept through commissioning
- Design, develop, and implement PLC, HMI, and SCADA-based control systems
- Collaborate with clients to define project scope, requirements, and technical specifications
- Develop and review electrical schematics, panel layouts, and technical documentation
- Perform on-site installation, startup, and troubleshooting of automated systems
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automation Engineering (or related field)
- 2+ years of experience in industrial automation or controls engineering
- Proficiency with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms)
- Experience with HMI/SCADA development and integration
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics and control panel design
- Excellent project management and client communication skills
- Ability to travel to client sites for installation and commissioning as needed
